Trainee Soho court reporter, then journalist on the evening Citizen newspaper in Gloucester, the young Barry Cain soon found that punk music was what he most wanted to write about.
On the road with the Sex Pistols, Clash, Jam and Stranglers amongst others, he documented his experiences in the book '77 Sulphate Strip
. In the '80s he published the innovative magazine Flexipop!
More recently he has travelled the seas and oceans as a travel writer on board cruise ships before authoring his first novel The Tapes of Wrath.
Barry lives and works in North London where he has resurrected Flexipop!
